Eligible Used Devices are Apple Airpods Max; Beats Studio 3 and Studio Pro; Bose QuietComfort, QuietComfort Ultra, QC35, QC45, and Headphones 700; and Sony WH-1000XM2, WH-1000XM3, WH-1000XM4, and WH-1000XM5.

Q. What will it take to get paid?

A: Use the website to get a quote on your used headphones and register your trade with us. Upon completion, instructions for packaging and mailing the device will be sent to your email address. Print the pre-paid shipping label and mail in your device. Once Reconext verifies the headphones you're trading in matches your Quote, you will be issued the quoted value (or Verified Value based on the Terms & Conditions) via your PayPal account.

Q. What happens with my device once I mail it in?

A: Reconext will resell or recycle all the headphones we receive during this program. Devices are recycled responsibly through an R2 registered end of life recycler.

Q. Are you a certified recycler?

A: Yes, Reconext is a certified, audited and registered ISO 14001 and R2 reseller and recycler.

Q. How is the trade-in value determined?

A: Sony is offering value for the device being traded-in as part of the offer for upgrading to the WH-1000XM6 Best Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones.

Q. Do the trade-in values ever change?

A: Yes. The trade-in offer may be changed at any time. However, once you have received your Quote we will hold the estimated value set forth in the Quote for 30-days.

Q. Will my trade-in Quote ever change?

A: The quoted value in the Quote is only valid for 30-days. As long as we receive your eligible Used Device within 30 days of your initial Quote, and it is the same model and serial number you reported with a valid proof of purchase, your quoted value in the Quote will remain the same. After the 30-day period has expired, the quoted estimate in the Quote is subject to change upon final verification.

Q. What products will you accept?

A: Eligible Headpones: Apple Airpods Max; Beats Studio 3 and Studio Pro; Bose QuietComfort, QuietComfort Ultra, QC35, QC45, and Headphones 700; and Sony WH-1000XM2, WH-1000XM3, WH-1000XM4, and WH-1000XM5.

Q. What if my device isn't listed?

A: If your device is not listed then, unfortunately, it isn't eligible for this program.

Q. Does a damaged product qualify for a trade-in?

A: Devices must be fully functional; unpaired from your device’s Bluetooth settings and removed from the specific account they are linked to (example – Apple icloud disconnected and “Find My” turned off, Google, or a manufacturer’s app); and have the original charging components and case included, without damage, and able to charge the device to receive full value. Please keep in mind that Used Devices cannot be returned once they are mailed in to Reconext.

Q. Can I trade-in my headphones if I purchased the new Sony WH-1000XM6 Best Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones at any retailer who sells Sony headphones?

A: No. The trade-in promo is only provided with a proof of purchase from Sony Electronics – electronics.sony.com.
